How Many Coats Of Paint?

When painting the interior or exterior of your home or business, the number of coats needed will depend on different facts:

- If the new paint will be with the same color that is already on and the surface is in good conditions, with no damage, stain, or ink, one coat should be enough.

- If the color will be the same but there are minor damages, stains, or ink on the surface, two coats may be needed.

- If the new paint will be with a different color, but not too different, two coats of paint should be enough to cover well.

- If the new color will be dark over light or light over dark, two to three coats will do it. (In such case, we recommend applying one coat of primer first, with the same color as the new paint, to ensure better coverage and durability).
